I think, personally, that that's not a good enough reason to not be with someone, no offence at all to those saying it. But she may have been with this guy for years and years. .You don't know, everyones situation is different. Whenever im having troubles with my boyfriend- people saying "break up with him" ... doesn't help AT ALL... because you know when you dont want to be with someone, or you shouldnt be with them.. it doesnt take someone saying not to be with them, to break up.. it's your own decision, no one elses.. if she chooses to split with him, thats her choice and should be on her own accord.. again, i dont see it as a reason to dump him.. cos him flaunting eating meat, is EXACTLY! the same as her flaunting how good veg food is... so silly... lol
I agree. I don't understand how someone could dump their partner because of how differently they eat. It's silly!

If there's more to it, like other factors that are causing you distress in the relationship, then yeah, you could consider breaking up with them.
I just think that there's obviously more to a relationship than what is written or said.. Good, bad, ugly, pretty happy Hahah. It's no ones choice but hers.. But i strongggglyyyyy think that there's no point getting mad about them flaunting enjoying meat- and you flaunting eating delicious veg foood.. =/

The activity is the same however the overall meaning isn't. Would we look onto this person in the same way if flaunting that he killed a person or had someone kill for him? Shouldn't killing a human have the same reaction as an animal (specially if someone is vegan)? Being ignorant over meat is one thing but flaunting that an animal is murdered for a meal isn't the same as encouraging vegan food, considering their encouraging that the animal should be murdered rather than how the food tastes good.

They may not make the connection between 'a life' and 'a meal'
It would depend on the context if they did or didn't make the connection. However the flaunting of meat is always different to vegan food because an animals life is being lost regardless of the context.

I knew someone would look into it so much. Im not really referring to the animal that died, im just talking about what it actually is.. on the surface.. not deep down lol.. her omni boyfriend probably see's it the same because he just, doesn't care? why do vegans find it so difficult to look at things from an omni's eyes.. i think it's important to not just put them down..

My comment was in reference to your statement of flaunting meat is the same as vegan food which it isn't and that was the point I was making. I wouldn't say thinking in those terms is deep in any sense either, meat is an animals remains and vegan food is plant it's pretty much surface thinking. The major problem with people is they think killing animals is necessary rather then forgetting something died for it but again that would be a persons personal opinion.

I agree with the above comment. We were all meat eaters at some point, maybe a few people in the world are exempt to that.. But at some stage we all ate, and enjoyed eating meat. So why is it so difficult to understand why they eat it? I know it's wrong, i get that and i believe that! Maybe it's because alot of people here have been vegan for so long, theyve lost sight of EVERYTHING else besides being a fricken vegan. It's stupid comments and disrespect vegans give people that makes me not want to associate with people who are vegan. It makes me understand why omnis HATE vegans and dont listen!! Because of the blatent disrespect and disregard they have for the rest of the world! it's unbelievable, and it infuriates me. I reeeeaaallllyyyy can't be bothered

I hope no one sees this as "looking into it too far", but I've never met anyone who was against eating plants due to their moral beliefs. Whereas consuming meat (and dairy & eggs) is not right in some people's moral beliefs (whether it be for religious regions, being a Vegan or Vegetarian, etc). I don't think talking about fruits and vegetables can be looked at as the same of someone purposely flaunting meat around in your face. You know what I'm saying?
