I thought it was funny and took it in jest. Just like the page "Being Vegan just makes you better than most people" - it was a quote from a movie, and it's funny. No need to get all worked up about it.
It's kinda like saying to me, haha cancers funny. Yes it's funny when your dad dies from it.
Some people joke about some things, some people joke about other things.. I wasn't getting worked up until now. This whole post ive defended the fact that vegans DO think they're better than everyone. And those pages just show people EXACTLY what they think of us, that we're selfish and think we're all it and a bit. No matter how much of a joke it is, people will look at it and think vegans look down on them.. Which alot of them do..
I get frustrated because all the vegetarians think everyone else is so evil for eating meat, which is not true. Also half the time there just trying to rebel against their parents, i'm not saying your sister is like that, but sometimes it can be the case
it seems that our "dear friend" moo is getting some either fake profiles or friends to annoy us all, as Moo you are awfully quick to like tahlia's posts and she says the same things you do
i am not going to lie, i do know moo. but she didn't ask me to get an account. and i wasnt trying to be mean i specifically said not everyone was like that but i do know people that are. so she is not getting fake accounts or anything
I dont think I'm better than anyone, I'm the last person to think that. All my friends and family are omni's and they treat my veganism with respect, they know why I do it. And I respect that they respect me. I dont push my beliefs onto them. I know it is hard for an omni to understand...but I also think that they should know better. We do joke around a bit about it. Everytime I go to eat something vegan the common taunt is "theres meat in that"...sounds silly but it gets laughed off and I know its just a joke!!
I am very proud to be a vegan, I think thats all it is for most people here too.

Yes. I know animals get tortured. And I know they feel pain. I actually can't stand the sight of a needle going into my cat, when I watch i pinch myself until it's over. So yes I care about what they do to cows, because I like cows (not to eat )
Just to update... yes i said some Vegans look down on people. But I am a vegan too!
Can i just say its exactly the same as meat eaters.. they will look down on vegans for being different . ...
like i say - its a dietry choice - we are all just people. we are Equal!
but i think its such a stereotype, you eat meat because you were rasied that way and at all the shops, at fast food places EVERYWHERE people eat meat. Just because everyone does something doesnt make it right. I dont care how many thousands of years .
Think about the world and humans and animals and its just not RIGHT to take another creatures life for a 10 minute meal - of which you will only shiiiiite out anyway. its so wasteful and un-economical and FYI there are vegetarian/vegan communities out there who havenever eaten meat.
