Damned L'Oreal.  angry

...I don't use girly, bathroomy products much anyway, but it still annoyed me.
It upset me very much too!

Teehee even though you may not use them much it is understandable L'Oreal taking over The Body Shop would be annoying~ D:

According to Wikipedia (It could be wrong~ D: ) L'Oreal has owned The Body Shop since the 17th of March 2006. T ~ T
Thanks Miss Paige for the info, grr i seriously loved the body shop, when i went down to sydney i always looked forward to going there and getting products.. sad
You are very welcome~ :3

They have some very pretty products.. ; w ;

There are a range of products which are cruelty-free and not tested on animals though available in many stores, you just have to look at choose cruelty free for these products to know the brand names! love

bloody corporations.
Dont buy anything from the body shop!!
The whole idea of TBS was that they were a good moral aussie company.
Now loreal wants to keep that image, it wants you to ignor the greedy corp in the background/

I'd rather buy from other corps who dont pretend to have integrity by buying out businesses who do.

This is exactly how I feel! L'Oreal is taking advantage of the good image The Body Shop had before they were taken over.. Awareness needs to be spread that The Body Shops 'Against Animal Testing' policy is meaningless now.

OH EM GEE!!
gah!
Thank you for posting this. I don't wear much make up but I've always been glad to have the body shop for little things, like for when I go out. This is sooo stupid!
Anyway, thanks for posting, I'll be sure to let everyone know. Even though people I know continue to eat meat, they won't condone animal testing on cosmetics, and by educating them on these things I still feel like at least I am doing a small amount of good. Gah!

This makes me mad. They shouldn't be allowed to say no animal testing if they are owned by a company that supports animal testing.

Well said, Aaron. I couldn't agree more. It's tragic that The Body Shop sold out, but I just cannot justify buying from them now that they're owned by L'oreal.

Lush is a million times better than the Body Shop anyway. And all their stuff is handmade and natural and palm oil free and recyclable packaging ecstatic
