LOreal ois currently releasing a new vegan haircare range.... maybe they are changing their ways?
Although maybe they have decided to try reach out to vegans and vegetarians...

It's not really *vegan* if it is made by L'Oreal if you ask me. Even if none of the ingredients they have used have been tested on animals or have animal derivatives, still comes from a company who tests on animals... making it totally not cruelty free.

Keep trying L'Oreal! Stop testing on animals. Even if you wanna use animal derivatives... Stop with the animal testing.

To sell your pride and joy, company that is supposed to be all for humanity and blah blah blah, it is ridiculous that The Bodyshop would sell to L'Oreal. I found this out a couple of years ago, and was thoroughly disgusted.

The Body Shop always used ingredients tested on animals before L'oreal bought them anyway. I suppose they pioneered the whole "greenwashing" thing.

They were never an Australian company either

it goes two ways, I will say however I do not use body shop items( im a lush boy)

Many say that by supporting The Body Shop you are sending a stron message to Loreal that you are against animal testing and if they see the money going into it, they see the importance

just another stance.....

I agree, I think body shop was bought when the founder and president died.

Creating a vegan range may gain some momentum however it is illinformed if they believe creating a vegan product range will hide their cruelty committed during animal tests. Sadly I honestly do not believe L'Oreal is changing their ways - they just want more money and see this as a potential market. T ^ T

It is a way to look at it.. But at the end of the day all the profits come together and sadly most of L'Oreal's products are successful amongst consumers. The Body Shop has a range of campaigns and being against animal testing is just one of them, L'Oreal may not even take notice to the fact that this is a reason why people purchase items from The Body Shop.

The L'oreal Ever Pure/Ever Strong Sulfate Free range says "Formula not tested on animals" which just means all of the ingredients are tested, all of the combinations of ingredients are tested except the final one. Which means it's no better than Herbal Essence, which doesn't test the final product.
However, the L'oreal range states it's 100% Vegan, which can't be legal.
