If you don't like it, move out. Being pushy and pedantic to someone who is essentially unsympathetic to the cause, doesn't get you anywhere, and usually just creates counter-productive defensiveness.
Oh my! I completely understand where it's coming from- when I first went vegan, every day things I never thought about before started making me very uncomfortable. I remember sending a long and emotional letter to my step-grandparents explaining why I won't be having Christmas with them anymore!
But yes the anger and frustration about the cruelty certainly got the better of this girl being in touch with reality and how everyday people think.
What a shame.
