They are horrid and can make agression worse. Yuck.
If there is a dog with social problems they need to get professional help, not be treated like that.
As for bad dog owners, my dad saw a man pulling/yanking at his dog and slapping him on the back just coz it was trying to sniff when they were walking. Dad told him to cut it out! And if he kept doing it dad said he was going to take the dog from the man and go to the rspca.

Dad isn't a big dog man, but it's nice to hear he cares like that.
That is good of your Dad.. But i can't help but think maybe he was just there at the wrong time.. Cos when im out walking Cargo - as much as i love the little critter .. He is THE WORST DOG TO WALK ON THE PLANET, and i lose my cool with him, i dont hit or kick or yank or anything. But i definately get very angry and you can probably tell.. Its hard to admit i even get mad at my dog, but for some reason i see myself being this dude walking the dog, he could be an awesome dog owner (like myself ;p) but just loosing his cool lol
There was this guy that was hitting his dog, so this farmer stopped the truck, punched the guy, and took the dog.
For dogs pulling on a lead PLEASE go out and buy a head collar. I use them on my dogs, and they are the BEST! It makes pulling uncomfortable for the dog, because he has his head turning to you, and his body trying to walk. ALL my dogs wear them, because they are all avid pullers. At first, your dog won't like it, but with LOTS of treats and praise they get used to it. My dogs Coco and Zane, they realise the only way they can go for a walk is to have the halti on. So they shove their nose into the halti and wait for me to clip it up!
But seriously, try it on cargo! This way you won't be choking him, and he won't be dislocate your shoulder!
