I live in Marrickville and my boyfriend and myself are both vegan. I am passionate about tattoos too and really want to meet new people that I can simply go out for dinner with, go to conference on Animals Rights with, etc... Let me know if you want to catch up sometime.

I'm from Sydney as well There's this really nice group of people who meet up regularly with the Sydney Vegan Club. It's a meetup group, and they have events at least once a week, usually around the city area. I've been to some of their stuff as well and everyone's friendly
But yeh it is a relief just to be able to relax and know people have the same worldview as you... and that everything you're eating is legit vegan! Here's a link to their meet-up site:
My girlfriend and I are finishing up a month of eating Vegan. I still enjoy meat on occasions. I mainly stay with eggs and seafood most other times.
Hardest thing about being vegan is missing the texture of meat. I have been trying to find a store in the Sydney area that is within walking distance from me.
No one seems to carry it. I have tried Whole Food House on Danks, Green Gourmet on King in Newtown, Coles, Woolworths, Maloney's, and other smaller grocery stores.
People have said to try health food stores where they were able to find it, but no one mentioned the name of the stores or what street they were located.

What are you looking for exactly? Is there a certain brand?
The cruelty free shop in Glebe has a range of mock meats including a lot of western styled ones like tofukry and pepperoni and such.
