I'm vegan my self, but my vegetarian friend wants to know if it is okay to have. I checked it and it has Emulsifier 371 (Can be animal or vegetable), but does anyone know if it is okay?

If not, does anyone know about a vegetarian margarine that is available in Adelaide?

Thanks!  monkey

I use Nuttlex because it is both vegan and vegetarian and it is available in a cholesterol lowering spread, Light, Olive Oil and Regular.  Coles and Woolworths sell the normal Nuttlex and some offer a wider range.

Emulsifier debate aside, it contains milk solids, so that would be a, no to it being vegan. And since vegetarians consume milk, I guess you could say its vegetarian.
