ok you tell me what i'm allowed to say and I'll say it
Perhaps we could just go back to the topic of homelessness but without the air of superiority and nonchalance to others?
... your saying to get rid of superiority? read this conversation, im pretty sure the 'superior' one is you..
I try to only talk about what I actually know and I know that what he was saying was offensive to many people regardless of their abilities.
That doesn't take away the fact you like to think of yourself as superior.
Coming from the person who has shown a pretty clear attitude of superiority over homeless people in this thread I'd say that's a bit hypocritical.
Defending her honor?
Nope, calling you out on your bullshit

A few of the responses in this thread are familiar, kinda like how meaties ridicule and get all defensive when their views on eating animals are challenged... how did earthlings put it... "The three stages of truth:
ridicule,
violent oppsition,
acceptance".

white people can't say nigga, black people can say it allll they like.. i always get the "they can say it, and say it to eachother, but we can't say it or use it in any way"
The n-word was created to degrade and oppress. It's easy to sit in a place of privilege and think "boohoo they get to say it why can't I!" but with any knowledge of the history of the word you'd think it would turn you off completely? It's not necessary, surely it takes nothing from a person to not use a word?

In regards to the word 'retard': When is it ever used positively?
"Oh my gosh that's so retarded"
"She is such a retard"

Do we really need to put up our shields and fight for the right to use words that can very easily oppress another person when there's such an abundance of other words we could use?

ok so i did a little research and apparently the most modern term is "intellectual disability" the term was changed in 2006 by American Association on Mental Retardation

although mental retardation is still used as a non offensive term by medics and studies on the net.
another thing i found is that the term "moron" is medical, but the psychological community stopped using it when it became a common insult.

So can I call someone a Moron since they surrendered it to be used as an insult?
If they surrender the term "retarded" can I use that as an insult?
where is the rule book?

there is no rule book. hopefully you'll just be able to develop enough empathy so as when you are speaking in a public forum you will not want to use a word people are telling you is personally offensive to them. sit in your room all day saying these words for all i care, just acknowledge what's been said here and please try to have some empathy for others.

This coming from the person who has repeatedly corrected people's spelling and grammar during arguments, while seldom posting a grammatically sound reply.
