lol i nptice with all guys at school, theyre like 'oh! i love my meat, cant live without it!' and it would be nice to meet guys who arent meatheads even though the guys at school are nice and all. i think its a shame that when a guy says theyre vego/veego, everyone thinks theyre gay cos meat is like a 'manly food'. so are potatoes.....and theyre vego!
oh btw im new onto here, my names alisha. im vegetarian (i dont eat eggs, dairy or honey but i havent got the whole vegan shampoo and makeup thing together yet) and im from sydney. i like music (hardcore, popcore etc), shopping, chilling, animals, food etc and itd be cool if u all introduced yourselves to me!
there are quite a few around here, but yeh, i think the majority of vegans/vegetarians are definitely girls. not sure why exactly.
but yes lol, i don't think being vegan is the most 'manly' characteristic... but my holden commodore, slab of beer, wifebeater top, short shorts and the massive guns i have for arms make up for that.
thats heaps awesome! lol i wish there were more ppl like u where i live. its kinda repetitive with the macho guys, dont u reckon? i mean i dont think a guy who only eats plants is less masculine than a guy who is a carnivore. oh btw which state do u live?
xoxo alisha
btw i need advice, i love my makeup and hair products, but whats a good way to switch to vegan ones...i just find it so convenient to use the easiest to get! i wanna go full vegan
i'm from vic, but i know there are some other vegan/vegetarian guys & girls you could catch up with in sydney. in fact, if i'm not mistaken, some other people from sydney are holding a leafleting session in the upcoming weeks.
haha yeh, i don't know if i really understand the whole manliness thing. confidence in yourself and your beliefs though i think wins over masculinity anyday lol.
but anyway, you can always direct some of your male friends here if they are doubting the manliness of vegans lol.

not sure.
even if i'm not the most 'manly' guy, i'm manly enough to not know a thing about makeup haha. but i think there may be a 'cruelty-free' makeup/hair product list lying around the internet somewhere.

you can get vegan make up products from kmart, priceline and all that, so its still easy i use inoxia, face of australia and australis
hehe awesome! veganism is freaking awesome, its just there are so many narrow minded ppl in the world. ppl think im crazy when i say that i dont miss meat, i only miss the convenience of it and then i was offered these tartlets with egg in them which was nice of the person but when i said that i dont eat animal prodicts theyre like 'its like only1/12 of an egg per tartlet' and i was like 'it isnt about dietary choice, its belief'. ive also got shit from ppl saying that you cant get a balanced diet of a vegetarian/vegan diet which is absolutely false...oh then theyre like 'plants have feelings as well' i hate that call! and how dare ppl try and compare picking apples off a tree or pulling potatoes out of the ground to brutally slaughtering animals! horrible. but enough of me going on and on! itd be cool to meet ppl around!
