Exactly. These stories never really have anything to do with veganism and everything to do with neglectful and/or ignorant parents (though I should add that my 36 yr old friend was apparently raised on condensed milk and around the same time many babies were fed evaporated milk and "survived"). But anyway you never read "omnivore parents starve child to death".
The verdict and the article both say that a Vegan diet was not the cause.
