this isn't the same but similar to how i get annoyed when businesses like macca's are charitable but cruel at the same time and the body shop who campaign for human rights but allow animal testing (from what i've read on here)

Yeah
like the Ronald McDonald House charity
Whats even more ironic is that the Royal Childrens Hospital in Melbourne has a McDonalds attached to it :|

Wouldn't this be a better ploy for everyone involved if it was attached to their free range eggs? Hmmm I feel an email coming on with this exact statement...
I have recently become aware that the brand "Golden eggs" is selling caged eggs in support of the Make-A-Wish foundation. Although I understand that the Make-A-Wish foundation is a most-worthy cause which has brought smiles to the faces of numerous ill children, I must point out an important issue regarding the funding.
The way battery hens are treated in the "Golden eggs" caged eggs farms completely contrast the principals of the Make-A-Wish foundation. Such treatment of animals is blatant animal cruelty, as even natural behaviours such as perching, dustbathing, or wing stretching are prevented.
It is obvious that "Golden Eggs" is using this opportunity to stimulate their sales, thus increasing the rate of animal cruelty. I'm sure you would agree that the benefits from these sales would come with guilt.
Thank you for your time,
Regards,
Rochelle Paterson

Sadly, this is a case of human charity v animal charity, where it is obvious that the needs of animals are overthrown by the needs of humans.

Sounds like a standard response to me But I truly hope that they do take you rcomments into consideration. Maybe if we set up a petition for this through Unleashed (like an Action Team Alert or something) and bombard them with complaints we might get somewhere.
