It is interesting this campaign was seen to be needed by their marketing team. Along with campaigns like "Got Milk?" in America.

It makes me think that either a) vegans are on the rise and consumption of animal products are on the decline or b) these corporations are anticipating the consumption of animal products will be going down unless they campaign against that. Or a combination of both.

Either way, it is a good sign.

I mean Coles is not advertising Carrots and Broccoli like was mentioned a few posts ago.

I believe that veganism is on the rise, But not to the extent that it is damaging sale's as the consumption of meat and bi products is also oon the rise 3 fold and if and when it does start to impact on the the meat/dairy industries the govt throws money at them to compensate. When I get home Ill link two very informative lectures/speeches I have, One By Gary Yourofsky and another gentlemen.

Dr Steve Best : Veganism -The war we cannot lose. And Gary Yourofsky : Best Speech You Will ever here.   Both will come up when googled or on you tube. I highly recomend them to anyone to watch. Both are very informative and good starting points if you are not ready to watch or listen to others like Earthings etc. Even though Ive watched them too.  fish

Yes He is very passionate and inspiring I love Him, The second speech by D.r Steve Best is an absolute wake up call which is why I liked it soo much too.  clap
Cile's Needs to realise that their add campaigns and mind set our outdated and extremely offensive to Veg*ns and those who don't consume these products. My friends and I have been spamming their fb page quite a bit, not in a offensive or preaching manner but enough to make others aware, Plus a friend of mine created a group on face book ,"  Friends don't let friends shop at coles"    thumb

You guys, I got a reply to my feedback!

"Thank you for your feedback about our recent prices are down promotion.

Coles values all of its customers equally and we are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the current Down Down "We all buy..."advertising campaign. Please be assured that your concerns in this regard have been noted and forwarded to our Marketing team for their information.

If you haven't already seen the advertisements, you may be pleased to learn that Coles has just launched its new 'We Mean It. You Taste It' Fresh Produce campaign. This campaign will run for a number of weeks and will focus on our great range of quality Fresh Produce items and the farmers who supply it to us.

We encourage you to look out for the new Series of Curtis Stone's Feed Your Family recipes and our latest edition of "The Seasons Best" information booklet, which will showcase some of our finest Fresh Produce items and provide you with many handy storage and cooking tips!

Once again, thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback."

I went to Coles.com.au and they've already changed their campaign on the website to this new one... AND THEY'RE ADVERTISING BROCCOLI!  ecstatic

It may be "too little, too late" for some... But I think it's great news!
