i have discovered that this sight encourages people to not eat any meats or dairy products, they use the word vegetarian. however vegetarians sometimes eat fish, chicken, milk, cheese and eggs. vegans however do not they do not eat any meats or dairy!
I ate no meat other than chicken and fish for my entire life. I didn't call myself vegetarian until I had stopped eating chicken and fish. Meat is animal flesh, and chicken and fish are animals.
I agree with everything that has been said. But just to add, I find that there are more positive reactions to advertising Vegetarianism rather than Veganism. This said, I don't think Veganism SHOULDN'T be advertised. All I'm saying is that not many people even know what a Vegan is, and those who do often find it very daunting. By encouraging people to go Vegetarian, they will become more aware of the Veg world and Veganism, and will probably feel more comfortable in going Vegan.

i agree, with veganism it's like "you have to give up this, this, this" and it seems like way too much for most people.
alot of people have a negative view of vegans, they think we are preachy and self righteous
and being like that isn't going to encourage anyone to go veg!
