The lady that started the Body Shop died, and I think her successors decided to sell. Its crap that the moral standards she created were thrown out the window.
Anita Roddick is the woman who created TBS. She sold it to Loreal in 2006 and became ill a year later, dying some 6 months or so later. Of selling to Loreal she said she could influence Loreal to change their ways more in line with TBS.
