"Killer Shark" to be hunted down in WA Rottnest

Okay so a few sharks have eaten a few people lately. Now W.A want to cull them and kill the protected great white. My weekend paper said surfers have been lobbing for this which I don't believe for a second as I bodyboard and all the surfers i know, know that we are going into their teritory.

So anyways i really need to get some help into stoping this. Maybe start a petition or protest on W.A beaches.

There are so many other thing they can do like shark nets. Which they could get volunteers and marine students to reguarly check that marine life doesn't get caught in it. Or people coming up with innovative ways that could deter sharks from divers, surfers swimmers, like maybe wear some kind of reflect gear or something.

I'm no expert in solving this so if people could help me with ideas and ways to let the goverment know we are against killing shark, please give me any ideas. The more i know about this the stronger i can argue to my local mp. Thanks

Hey guys,
So I'm reading the news and it turns out that after the tragic death of an American tourist in Rottnest WA by a shark, the government is considering mass shark culls and the suspected shark  is to hunted and killed.

This is outrageous considering the probability of finding the shark now after 19hours is virtually impossible and the mass culling of sharks is again another indiscriminate human act of cruelty (or as I would call it a type of genocide) and ignorance. I've sent an email and called the WA premier's office to complain but I thought that perhaps some of you would want to do the same.

This is the article:

Lol I just made the same post.

I called WA Premier and sent him an email, I'll probably write a letter too.

Humans killed 38+ MILLION Sharks just for shark-fin soup, when you include the the number of sharks killed around the world for all the stupid reasons like the WA government is proposing, you can imagine the real number is far greater.

If you want you could organise a petition on the care2 website, its easy, accessible and people from around the world can sign.

Also contact info for WA Premier is:

I think its terrible that they're doing this, I heard it on the news yesterday.....it shows nothing and is a horrible way to deal with things. We don't go around killing murderers!

But good work I think its great what you're doing!!!
