I worked at pets paradise for 2 days..... the dogs there had parvo and they were selling them cheap to get rid of them ........... ya.

It's all about money to petshops. I saw a lot in my 2 days. Thank god I didn't have to stay there...

I agree go into their store and get vocal, and try contacting Oscars Law. They won't give a rats ass if you leave a bad review...it will probably just be deleted.

In case you don't know where to contact Oscars Law:

If I was you I really wouldn't be letting them get away with this. They continue to buy and supply customers with puppies that have been brought up in appalling conditions and no authorities seem to do anything about it.

EDIT: Also If you plan on buying another puppy you should never buy from pet shops. Only ever buy from reputable breeders, or better yet adopt a puppy from a shelter or rescue group happy

hey i rang the fair trading act and they suggested sending a letter to the store and head branch.I did and the store sent me a response saying they will not refund as they paid the vets bill of 500.00 and that my 200.00 refund was used for same. She told me that the vet has agreed to pass on the actual bill to me and then the pet shop would refund me..if i wasnt happy with not having a refund...Now if i continue to pursue this i may be stuck with the vet bill which would be more than 500.00 as this was at shop price..I have rung RSPCA and they will check the shop out once they get the vet report.

angry In my own experiance a few times, i have found the RSPCA to be competly hope-less. ive reported animals that were extremerly emaciated, had no food, water, shelter and the rspca did nothing about it. But i got reported for having emaciated cattle - note i did rescue these cattle from the slaughterhouse but with only 2 calls they told me, they were on my trail, and came out to my house every week to see there progress. But it seems if i reported any animal in destress they wouldnt come out but i get reported twice and they dont leave me alone. wtf?

There are codes of practise for the selling of animals through petshops-check your local department of primary industry (the agriculture body),  RSPCA and your local council

they are NOT permitted to sell a sick animal and should have return period and refund policy.
Moral of this is do not support petshops! I got a sick bird from pet pardise in chadstone when I was younger and she was the calmest most tamest bird I ever met-I could walk outside and have her sit on my shoulder and only just got her-she died the next day-so we took the dead bird back and got another bird in replace of the one that died which is what they should have done. Go through animal shelter/rescue or buy from a ethical breeder through a breed club etc, remember ethical breeders do not breed designer dogs!

I am sorry for your loss how that you had to see your poor puppy suffer in this way poor little thing it's cruel that they allow these things to continue just for the sake of money. Don't ever buy from a pet store. If you a particular kind of breed always use a reputable breeder but if you don't mind any animal the shelter is the best place to get a dog and gives them a loving home for life as well.
