Sukin is awesome. I tend to get dermatitis (flaky skin, etc) on my hands, but it's cleared up since I started using their handwash. Then there's the deodorant. I was iffy about how effective it'd be, but it does a fantastic job. I live in Cairns - aka 'Sweatsville' - so if anyone is at risk of being stinky due to sub-standard products, it'd be me... and a sub-standard product it ain't.
Malaysia Indonesia are clearing ALL the natural forests... to plant millions of palm FIELDS...
flying into Malaysia was a giants lawn of palms.. forever.. ... spread...
apparently they arn't as bad as Indonesia and you can find lots of the rehabilitation centres for hurt and orphaned Orangutan...
WHICH IS ONE ANIMAL...
this jungle has the common ... elephant tiger.. children's book scenario won't exist in 20 years looking at how much they love palms (which is printed on their note like our wool) which reap nutrient from the soil and are only sustainable for a few crops (apparently IDK)
but just look at soya and the amazon.. which sretches through brazil and pony land.
Sukin are great. My skin is really sensitive and a lot of face washes make the skin peel off around my nose (attractive o_0 , theirs doesn't. It's also not over-fragranced, which can also be a problem. Big thumbs up from bubble girl here!
I'm not at all a fan of the sukin hair products, they left my hair feeling really oily so i've gone back to natures organics organic care. and on the palm oil issue sukin uses palm oil, they have a spiel about it on their website.
IF they didn't use palm oil... all those lost fields would go to waste which were forests... THE PALMS ARE THERE.... NOW...
right now.
though forests are still under threat... soya is at a worse point with the amazon.. only home to the largest recorded density of species on the planet : D mostly probably undiscover(able now).
go to the extreme to avoid a non animal product because of this... and you're kidding yourself about the rest of it.
it need partitions to prompt policies which don't allow land reap... and there should be a cap on the land mass used for one species.. though individualised to the crop... but still a cap.
soya has apparently the biggest dedicated land mass for one crop.
