I think Victoria secret fashion show is awful, anorexic girls parading around in lingerie that is worth the amount of money it would cost to feed multiple villages in 3rd world countries for a long time, the world needs to get it's priorities in order.
(Sorry, just needed to vent and everyone on my facebook is getting tired of it, haha.)
Im not a huge fan of the show, I do love the things they sell though
as for the material excess...yeah it's pretty sad
the amount of crap and junk most of us spend money on at christmas time is also pretty horrid, imagine if instead of buying presents for each other we bought life saving medicines, accommodation and food for people who need it instead
If you don't like to look at good looking (to most) people then don't.You will never further any cause by being preachy.
Send all your money to some third world village so they can buy a chainsaw and cut down more forest to try and feed their 15 children, so they can turn 13 and start in on the action.
i agree with you to some extent as alot of things are probably over stocked which costs money, the set up costs money and hiring models cost money which could be spent on helping with 3rd world countries however its in our blood to buy fancy things we can afford etc. and even when we give donations to 3rd world countries who knows where the money ends up as much as they say everything is donated no doubt about it im pretty sure not 100% of the money is going to good use! There have been issues with donations and profits being sent to 3rd world countries however when the government is corrupt they buy guns etc. to help children use guns and therefore doesn't really help their country at all! Another instance is the donations (28mil) to japan that countries around the world to help fund them from the tsunami earthquake incident and what are they spending it on? whaling
