Hey everyone happy

I am travelling in China at the moment and it's winter. I am looking for coats and heaps are coats with feathers inside..

I would never purchase anything to do with animals as I am vegan but I don't know how to explain coherently and persuasively why I do not use feathers apart from it's cruel..

I don't have much time on the computer but I googled it and nothing too good came up, can anyone explain/link me etc.

I like facts to give to people.

I don't have access to youtube here....

It would be more humane to wear a wool coat than a down one

There are places that do kill the birds for their feathers but also many places that capitalize on foir gras production, they round up the birds when they are about to moult, starve them and then pluck them alive so that they can continue producing foie gras, i didn't know that until just now.

it's horrendous!!!

i might cease using my down doonas i've had for years out of disgust

Thats just...sickening.

They pluck them alive, that is horrible. Yes don't use down ! I don't but I didn't know enough factual information to tell others...
