Don't you wish you could just take them all home with you

Yes it would be nice to take them all home but of course it is not possible.  Sadly a needle death is the most humane alternative to finding homes for all.

Good and bad news about todays kill list at Renbury

Good ~ 8 dogs got rescued off the kill list today and are off to there new and furever homes

Bad~ 3 dogs sadley were PTS

I havent herd about the cat list yet,hopefully some were saved.

Just want to make it aware that it isn't always the pounds that give you the supplies- I only know of Renbury helping out in critical cases with that or shelters like RSPCA or AWL. Your best bet with fostering is to go through a reputable rescue group- most will do an inspection of your house and ask you a few questions about your lifestyle and history with pets just so they know what kind of time you have and what you are prepared for. I also advise that if money is a bit of an issue- only go with a rescue group that are 16D approved and have an agreement with a vet for discount care- even if they pay for the vet treatment it would be better for them and you then know they are loyal to vets.

Again with transport I must advise that you make sure the animal is vet checked and quarantine for at least 3-4 days before being transported. As pound animals have been in much more contact with other animals than normal pets, they can be more prone to illness and disease such as parvo virus and simple things like hookworm. When transported, dogs are put into a trailer next to each other for many hours at a time, you do not know where these other dogs have come from thus it would be ideal to get all vaccinations done before transport as well. There have been cases where dogs have been transported from NSW to VIC only to be diagnosed with parvo on the way.

I'd love to have a nice big backyard one day so I can foster a few dogs So sad.

19/2/12 Rottweiler m Black & tan - dog is microchipped & registered & is recorded as 9 1/2 years of age, when this boy first arrived has was not completey trusted but has now settled and is friendly.

19/2/12 Staffy Cross f White with tan spots - dog is microchipped as Ganger & is recorded as 6 months of age, gorgeous sweet friendly girl

24/2/12 Staffy Cross m Tan.

27/2/12 medium cross breed m brindle and white only a young teenager

26/2/12 terrier cross m grey & white

27/2/12 Am Staffy Cross m red

There is a massive amount of cats in the Renbury pound at the moment.

72 cats are listed, and due to the massive amounts of cats coming in every day, there are cats and young kittens been put to sleep every day - Please veiw there pictures, there are some gawjus cats and kittens in there that need a home ASAP!!

Weather is not conducive to taking any dog outside to get to know them better, so these are just initial observations. She is a very friendly girl, wiggling that backside of hers when you enter the kennel block. She is very focused and obedient when there is a treat involved..... and has some moxy to her!! Cute little thing

If I was her owner, you can bet your bottom dollar I'd be scouring the streets for her! She is such a submissive and gentle soul who is making the best of a bad situation. And by that I mean the Mally next to her who wants the world to know he is not happy being confined to a kennel! She actually flinches away from him, leans into you and just absorbs your cuddles. She is an extremely sweet little lady - who's going to be the lucky one to save her?

please help and share around this info, they have until thrusday at 4pm befor they will be killed!!

The most humane thing to do is to desex your dogs and cats to save them from such a cruel fate
