Hi all i am new to this site and need some advice, i have 2 little french Bulldogs that are my absolute pride and joy. My children bought me my first little one as a gift and she is now 14 months old. my little man was given to me by the same breeder as he has a heart murmur. When i received his papers i was shocked to see that they are full brother and sister? Please keep in mind that my older girl's sister from her litter also had a heart mumur? I have been suspect about this breeder for quite sometime now as she will never give me her address and only meets you in a park? She has a PO box number and she seems to move house alot?
I recently had both my babies fixed and my vet told me that my little girl which my children paid a hell of a lot of money for has a soft palette which needs surgery, along with the fact that she has floating knee caps, again major surgery, suffers form extreme allergies and she was supposed to be the healthy one? my little boy has a stage 3 heart murmur? I have tried to contact the breeder but have had no response? She breeds these beautiful little creatures with no consideration to their health or genetic defects? Remember my girls sister from her litter had a heart murmur and now 12 months later this breeder has again mated with the same parents and produced another pup with heart murmur that i know of?
I truly believe she is farming these beautiful babies for the big dollars and does'nt care about genetic defects or the breed what so ever? If anyone has some advice i would so greatly appreciate it as these people need to be stopped!
Hope to hear back from anyone. thanks for listening
Cheers frenchielover
You could ask for advice from the RSPCA. I doubt they'll take action on it but it's worth trying. Also, do the 'papers' you mentioned say who the breeder is registered with?
If the breeder isn't registered then what could you expect? It's just another backyard breeder.
Breeding animals is a business- no one can say that it benefits the animals in any way.
In the future, please always adopt from a pound, a rescue organisation or a shelter and save a life.
Oh dear doesn't sound right to me a good breeder will let u meet the parents so all the secrecy is a concern. I would enquire that ur friend would like one and see if you can organize another meeting at the park where perhaps then follow her or get someone to! I know that sounds FBI like but I'd do it to stop puppy farming, there are websites about puppy farming that you could check out , will see what I can find

Unfortunately breeding a dog with a heart murmur isn't against the law and small dogs are very prone to it. The papers you have got, do they register the dogs under Dogs QLD? If so, check out their code of practice and contact them if you can prove she is in breach of anything. Otherwise the papers pretty much don't mean anything.
How did you first find this breeder? And if you have any details I suggest you sent them to Debra Tranter on or send them to me at
I would defiantly try and take it up with the RSPCA or Fair trading. If she keeps breeding the way you suggest she is there is always the chance they may be abused by their living conditions and the constant breeding.
