It seems to be over the past month I have noticed an increase in the amount of advertising from KFC, Macdonalds and today Steggles. Showing their chickens being raised in perfectly clean barns with the farmers giving them practically a back rub for the cameras.
Only this morning a steggles ad came on which made me turn the TV off, it had a few Hens in a perfectly clean barn and the farmers were saying "There's no cages in our sheds" etc..
It was obvious the Hen he was holding was a hired show Hen because it looked in "show condition", perfect feathers, colour, weight.
It seems as soon as they get a chance they will do anything to fill their customers minds with lies that the chicken they are eating is from a well loved healthy chicken!!!!????
Yep, it annoys me to. But it just shows that people are starting to care about animals and they are trying to win people over. Hopefully it'll just make people more outraged when they do hear the truth.

Argh! I try to avoid tv now because I usually end up throwing something at it! I hate the new KFC ad with half a dozen chickens running around a huge yard. I think it takes more than just a couple of chickens to feed all the fatties who frequent KFC...
