I know people who have watched earthlings and still devour flesh.
I doubt your leaflets will persuade them, and violent actions is the wrong path to go down I agree, But! It sends a message.
My argument is pointless and irresponsible , but pamphlets and images of deceased animals etc.. Obviously doesn't affect these people.
Our aim shouldn't be to convince the people who are heartless. It should be to cause economic damage by convincing those who are already compassionate, but uninformed. I believe my leafleting has a conversion rate to vegetarianism of 1 person in 40. (when given to a 20 year old university student).
This causes more economic damage than all but the most concerted, well orchestrated campaigns of law breaking.
It depends what you want to do. If you want to cause economic damage then vegan leafleting is the way to go. It causes more economic damage than direct action, which only has a minor effect due to an amazing thing called 'Insurance'.
If however you want to feel better about yourself, inflate your ego, and think of yourself as some kind of hero, then direct action is clearly for you. Whilst you are in prison, I'll still be causing economic damage by leafleting.
And unless you have done some pretty crafty TOR / IP concealment when you used this public forum, the police already know who you are, so I don't fancy your chances in the long run.
Direct action is only appropriate when supported by the community at large. Notable examples are Victoria's Duck Rescue, ALV's open rescue, the UK's Animal Liberation Leagues of the early 1980s or Sea Shepherd.
At any other time, it is almost always a waste of time and resources, no matter how gratifying to the ego.
