Oh dear and what abut the mice? I cant bring myself to hurt them and I cant bring myself to catch them and 'humanly' release elsewhere as I am afraid them someone else will kill them or they will starve to death or a bird will get them or something  cry
So now the mice and me live in kinda harmony.
what do you all do with your mice infestation?
I have a family of mice in my garage. I can hear them "arguing" of an evening lol. My rabbit and dog food is stored in my garage and sometimes a biscuit or bit of grain 'accidentally' falls to the ground... I figure if they are happy and warm and fed there they won't try to enter my house.

yeah seeing a cat toy with a mouse is so much nicer than seeing an instantly dead one...
I'm sorry, I don't remember saying he 'toyed' with it...

And if he were to 'toy' are you implying I should stop him? Are you implying I should stop all cats from doing what comes naturally? Well we better boycott all animals as well...

And FYI I actually don't allow him to be so cruel if I catch him with a mouse/rat. I give it to my other cat which immediately does the job.

wasn't talking about what you do, just in terms of being a solution for managing one's qualms about mice/rats in the house...

I don't see myself personally being relieved "oh it's ok.. I have a Cat"...

hahah waaaiitt a minute... I just realized.. I actually have a Rat in my room right now... I keep forgetting... >   -  <  I want to get my dog in there to hunt it out, but only because I know he won't catch it... and will let me know where it is or chase it out.

*sigh. I hope it went out the back door today, I don't want lots of insects in my room.
