I used to love a good pavlova  sad
unfortunately everything about pav screams eggs & dairy except the fruit on top! tongue
(any alternatives suggested would be much appreciated.)

What are some things you wish were vegan?

True!!

Actually... I recently found a vegan meringue.. happy

So you CAN have vegan pavlova! It's made by Angel Foods, which is based in NZ, but I've seen it for sale in Australia too at some specialty stores.

happy happy happy

On the topic of things I wish were vegan... I guess you could say 'everything'! Then there'd be a whole lot less people unwittingly funding animal cruelty with every grocery store visit sad

But... where there's a will there's a way. New products come on the market all the time.. now you can get vegan marshmallows (these are the BEST btw!), meringue, and all sorts of odd things you'd never think could be vegan.. And I bet as we make this list, soon enough there will be products on the market that will make your other wishes come true too!

peace

hmmmmm

i wish there were more vegan salad dressings... like the creamy ones such as ranch and caesar. Also dairy milk chocolate!

i don't if we're just sticking to food but i wish there was a vegan leather jacket strong enough to withstand bike crashes. the non-leather ones look crappy (bright colours with sponsorship and stuff).

I'll have to look a little harder for a leather substitute
- if anyone has any ideas i'd love to know! ecstatic

A friend of mine found a great bike jacket which he now loves to pieces. It didn't look like leather, but was strong enough for bike crashes, as you say... I'll try and find out the brand for you happy

This is what he said:

Dri Rider I think.  Yes - just checked the interweb, and it tells me yes.  Dririder.
Win.
The difference between leather and this type is that dri rider will withstand ONE crash, probably no more, while leather may last a bit longer.
But vegan is good ecstatic
