Last time I checked they were. Not for vegans though - milk solids.

I will never understand *why* there are milk solids in so many chips!

It's used as a cheap filler.

Particularly in salt and vinegar flavour. WHYYYYY?!?!?!?!

Dairy products should only be in the flipping cheese or sour cream flavoured chips. However, my current chip addictions are the Kettle chilli flavour, mmm nom nom... perfect little chilli bite... and Kettle also have lightly salted vegie chips which are nothing but beetroot, sweet potato and something else. Unadulterated chippy goodness... but I can only find them in one supermarket in Ballarat, and it's on the other side of town.

$10 says they'll probably discontinue the line soon and I'll have to go vegie chip cold turkey.

There's heaps of different brands.. just have a squizz at the ingredients list of different brands next time you go shopping.. there's got to be a vegan friendly brand out there!
