so i hand fed a baby calf the other day.
my friend has two calves and so we had to hand feed them cos they don't have a mum (i think that my friends fam got them from a place where they were just going to get killed or something so that was nice of them)
anyway we got the calves a big bucket of milk each and had to feed them.
so wat you do is let the calves suck on your fingers and then stick your fingers into the bucket of milk and then they'll start sucking up the milk, kinda like they would with thier mummy cows.
it was kinda cute actually and it sounds messy but it wasn't really.
Yep, it's pretty hard to consume dairy after experiencing the fun, innocence and beauty of a cow calf. I know I had a lot of trouble justifying milk after "meeting" one.
Ahhh I know, baby calves are frickin gorgeous! They're so trusting and innocent, I will never drink milk again, I think I'd feel like a thief or something. heh.
My friend had calves once, males to sell for meat...
They were so cute when they suck on your fingers. But apparently it's justified to raise them to sell for profit if you don't kill them yourself...
