I fully believe the universe has ways of weeding out bad things.  This lollies giant never thought about the damage it did to all those animals used in the making of their lollies.  The good news is it looks like this corporation will crash.

I liked their dark chocolate sad

Although I can see your point, I still don't think it is good to see and Australian company go out of business. If they aren't supplying the market then some other foreign company will just step in and take their place. Meaning more money going overseas and less jobs in Australia.

When i worked for them, i was the only non-illegal immigrant getting a legal pay in the whole place. I earned the minumum wage, the other 30 people in the factory were all non-english speaking vietnamese people accepting pay as low as $5 an hour.... After a week of working there i was promotoed quite high as i was the only one that could speak or read english and therefore had to deal with ordering.

Darrell-lea has been around since i was a little kid. It was like that start of a shift to gourmet food. I also remember when "heaven on a stick" and "kettle chips" came out which were the first decent ice-creams and chips.
Now i guess huge multi nationals will pick up the slack with their cheap crap food that is intended to be mass consumed.
allot of businesses are going under now, i feel like everything is about to collapse soon.

Yeah!! Think about all of the Cows that have to go out looking for work now :<
that they are no longer employed.

But srsly, it does suck. Australian Industries i'd dearly love see all float again sometime. We're losing so much charm and character to places with lesser standards for people and animals.

I hope people stop being afraid of tenacious ideas, scared away by the big chains (shackles) who will buy them out as soon as they seem to be able to incur a profit. (Most quirky places worth having in our cities are running at a LOSS...... you know.. you do all of this entrepreneurial stuff and work the shops yourself and you're still struggling to pay some Fat Cat... do we have a Government or just a money sequestration and redistribution into itself fungus? Not to mention then poorly manage the enterprise into the ground, probably as planned.)

Seems you can only make money working for the bad guys, or being a parasite to their surplus leeched wealth. Aka, join in the scavenge.

Anyone that wants to start a business in this day and age, has to either be willing to run a Benevolence Industry or... like.. be crazy, or at least crazy friendly and full of so much energy they are doing more than your over paid health specialist just by smiling at you.

+or be corrupt and not mind making 800% inflation on cliche items.
+or be a subcontracting importer of nick nacks... YAY!! Industry Skills and Jobs Australia.

If anyone was smart, the government would just start their own E-Bay... In Australia.. Imagine that.. a website.. with some buttons on it, that sells cheap shit?

And employ all Aus citizens?  HAHAH wow.. making money? Who would want to do that in this country (and I mean. WITHIN when I say in). Obviously doing stuff more than once is way too difficult for peoples brains. Like.. eh... I can't compete with that, it is all done and stuff.. this requires some doing :S And like... stuff.

But essentially that would be a terrible thing, but ... it would be something at least.
Australians, making things again.

Maybe the market needs to deviate a bit more, so the manufacturing process,
ends up sustaining environments or something.

*sigh sigh sigh.

Excuses are not a pretty thing, there are plenty of animal friendly jobs out there. A shock may just be what the human needs to wake itself up.  To tell you the truth I have no compassion for anyone who contributes to the cruelty of animals so i don't really care if they loose their jobs.  As much as they cared for the death and callous treatment of innocent creatures.

So you suggest Humans lose their innocence by Naivete, Conformity and Ignorance alone?

Where as all other Animals have the right to Innocence by our inability to perceive their trials, tribulations, follies and deviations from the unintentional, righteously blissful life?

I mean.. if all Animals are treated equally.. well the Non-Human ones would actually be being treated worse (than they are now). If to judge and base upon the overall/average standard of how people treat each other.

So if Animals are to be given rights on the premise of having Innocence,
they also then hold the faculty to have Guilt and aforementioned things.

Precis: All animals then would have their own capacity for moral degeneration.
If the reasons for treating them well, is in respect to their faculties of consciousness et cetera

And as seen in this society, people, although can judge their own low points and can often punish themselves for this. Aren't given the luxury of finding their own equilibrium, having well being un-hindered and nor is homeostasis positively reinforced or rather, allowed to occur in-sync with equilibrium as it should be.

Compassion for Animals by definition couldn't exclude Humanity.

Note: But I guess if you admit to being preferential to different species,
then different roles/groups/factions of people would be same as this I suppose.

so miss jones ..you can tell me that those people actually killed or injured an animal in there job at darrel lee..please..i dont want an arguement but it seems senseless to blame innocent people who by no fault of there own for wanting to work...worked in an enviroment were animal products were used....unless u have been a vegan since birth ,you to have be involved in animal cruelty
