Totally agree Bio!

We as humans have the choice to treat animals the way we do. We can obviously survive healthily on a vegan diet, but we abuse animals by putting them in small cages, breeding from them and taking away their babies, using them for OUR entertainment and having them for dinner. It's disgusting.

I personally just believe that there is no need for a human to destroy the life of an animal, its just unnecessary. Animals eat animals because thats how they work. My view is that we have the resources and skills to create food sources which don't revolve around breeding, caging and slaughtering animals

In the words of Richard Dawkins...

"Nature is not cruel, only pitilessly indifferent. This is one of the hardest lessons for humans to learn. We cannot admit that things may not be good or evil, neither cruel nor kind, but simply callous - indifferent to all suffering, lacking all purpose"

But, we humans are capable of being compassionate toward other creatures... A lion is not. In the end those who use this defence are attempting to defend their morality by comparing it to that of a wild beast.. Heh. Yet i'm sure they still think they are vastly more moral than a 'wild beast' ...
Excellent answer, no need to post my opinion now! clap
