Thank You all for your help, I have taken it all on board, and I will keep you updated, and I will keep reading, I think the most important thing was/is knowing that I have support to help with the harder stuff.

Thanks.
Robin.

Hi Robin,

Have you tried "Lentil as Anything," at the convent????? ABBOTTSFORD .. 1 st Heliers Street

Delicious and you pay as much as you can afford or as much as you think the food is worth.  Plus you are contributing to charity..... yay!!!

No I haven't but I think I will definitely have to considering I am in the city all the time, and also, have you tried Om Vegetarian, they have a $6.50 all you can eat .

Thank you again to everyone who helped me, I meant to update you all ages ago, but I have been really busy.

Again I want to say thank you, because I believe it is because of all of you guy's that since I originally posted this, I have not touched a single meat product.

And I glad to say that, I feel amazing having made the choice to give up meat and am feeling a lot healthier.

Thanks Robin.

Hi Robin, first of all congratulations and welcome aboard. I am also new to vegetarianism, started at the beginning of November and am learning more all the time, there are some awesome websites around with easy recipes, you just need to start looking around.

The main thing is eating right, be diverse in the fruit and veggies you consume everyday, being a vegetarian is far from boring.  Lentils/beans added to salads (e.g. chick peas from a tin) makes for a good filler and a lot of the meat replacements can be fun to try. The best thing to do in a house of meat eaters is have a stash of things like lentil burgers or veggie sausages that you can add to the side of your plate. For a lazy meal I oven bake vegetarian spring rolls or grill a mushroom (and sometimes stuff it with sautéed onion, veges etc).

Good luck and let me know how up I go.

Heaps of great advice here. Leafy greens, beans and legumes (lentils, chickpeas, kidney beans, black beans etc....) are your friends. Congrats on making such a wonderful decision! The animals, the planet and your body will thank you for it!
