Like alot of vegans I have had difficulty deciding on weather to introduce my two beloved dogs and one over-loved cat to a vegan diet.

I have found the perfect place to order the perfect nutrition based food for my fur babies … www.veganpet.com.au

Please feed your ferret meat as they are striked carnivores - I rescued a ferret a year ago ( he is in my DP) and I inquired about him been veg and everyone from vets, ferret rescues and the Internet said to feed him on a meat diet as they cannot digest plant matter properly and cannot get enough vitamins and minerals from eating plants - you are doing more harm then u relize, for your ferrets health and wellbeing please be responsible

she is healthy and I just make sure she doesn't have things that she cannot digest... she has a vegan protein powder mixed into mashed baby food ( fruit or veg)... vegan pet biscuits... and some dried vegan cat food... and steels my twisties but I take her vet once a month and he's amazed she's healthy... but she never had meat when she was young so she's old now and it's no use trying plus I have my opinion and I know she's healthy and loved so your opinion doesn't mean anything to me when she's healthy

I think it is your own decision. Some people feed their pets a vegan diet and they are fine. I personally feed my cats a meat diet. Just make sure if they are not looking good after a couple of days, to bring them back to eating meat. That is what nature intended  peace

Ferrets cannot - and I repeat - CANNOT be vegan. They are strict carnivores and cannot digest plant food because of their short gastroinstestinal tract. They need to eat meat and plant products can actually kill them. Please, please for the sake of your ferrets health either feed it meat or give it to someone who will be responsible. Otherwise, it will get sick and die. Feeding it a vegan diet is exceedingly cruel and very detrimental to their health.

If it is healthy now, it won't be for much longer. Of course it is going to look more healthy now than when it was neglected by its previous owners, but that doesn't mean what you're doing is right for the ferret. It's a form of animal abuse and if it continues, your ferret will die prematurely. The vegan pet foods I've seen online for ferrets contain many plant ingredients that are toxic to their digestive systems. Do some research and understand that they require meat and cannot digest plant/carbohydrate matter:

Even PETA say ferrets have to be fed meat!!

You have proven that unfortunately you're not feeding your ferret a correct diet: baby food consisting of fruit or veg is appalling as a ferret cannot digest either of these things. Furthermore, vegan cat food is incredulously bad for a ferret as it contains vegetables and carbohydrates that they also cannot digest.

Feeding a dog, and to some degrees a cat, can definitely be done safely and healthily. A ferret is a completely different story (and anyone debating that evidently has not done their research).

What I have written here is not my opinion. It is scientific and undeniable fact, and I'm incredibly sad that you refuse to see how harmful you are being.

Do u own a ferret? Or Done any research on ferret nutrition?

Even PETA says that a ferret is a striked carnivour And needs to be fed on a meat based diet , don't you think that says something within its-self? Please do some research befor you comment happy

for one I would shut all your f**king  mouths who's being f**ing c**ts to me...SHe was my friends who died in a car crash two months ago and was fed vegetarian based diet since she was little.. if it was any other ferret I would feed them meat but less cruelty as possible meat... and she doesn't eat anything that can harm her belly... I give her purified veggies and she has enough protein that would be in meat... I don't see the point in making her eat something she just won't eat and if you continue to put me down for doing the wright thing you are worthless to me and just judge without even knowing the circumstances... we are all for the same thing the animals welfare so think about that not putting someone down... don't even bother replying to this cause I don't give a f**k so BACK OFF
