what is she going to do? force feed you eggs and funnel milk down your throat?

it may be harder to opt out of eating home made cakes and such with milk and eggs in them, but if you slowly start cutting dairy out maybe she will realise you are for real and you discuss the options of her cooking with soy milk and dairy free butter (try Nuttlex)

good luck  wave

I think keeping a good relationship with your mum, and you both not getting super stressed out is really important. Maybe try showing her some of the alternatives and the nutritional information in our "Go Veg" section or the detailed nutritional panel here: http://whyveg.com/nutrition.php.

Our cows page that explains all about the life of a dairy cow may also help her understand your motives as well. http://www.unleashed.org.au/animals/cows.php

She is probably just worried for your wellbeing. Maybe if you can show her information about a balanced vegan diet she will be more understanding and see that people of all ages in all growth stages can thrive on a vegan diet if they do it properly. Great that you are already vegetarian though, you are already saving lots of lives!

talk to your mum about it, tell her the reasons why you want to go vegan and explain how your going to do it so she knows that your still going to be staying healthy.

although if you've only just turned vegetarian recently (a few days/couple of weeks) then maybe wait a bit longer, its a lot easier being vegetarian for a while and then turning vegan instead of making the changes quickly.

Good-luck happy

That's fantastic you want to become vegan! Don't worry about what your parents say (most of us have gone thru the same thing!!!).

Just do your research on healthy eating, a vegan diet is rich in calcium and protein. Also, read up on B12. You will be more healthy eating a vegan diet and you will be helping way more animals!!!

Good luck!!!  happy
