Hey Everyone,
As most of you knew i was going to do a bobby calf rescue yesterday but i could only bring home one calf as i was unfortuatly out bidded on the others.
Chase was not even a day old when she was bought to the sale, i asked a farmer who was there if he knew what sex chase was, as she was sitting down and i couldn't see.
He replied " She is my calf, i bought her here this morning "
I said " She is so beautiful, how old is she? "
The farmer replied " She was born last night. "
I said " Isn't it illegal to bring them to the sale if they are under 5 days old? "
The Farmer replied " Yes, but Thats why you Dont tell anyone and you cut off there umbilical cords. "
I looked at my younger sister who was there with me and we were speechless, even when i first saw her i knew she was only a new born.
Chase has settled in really well, She was really hungry when she arrived home and drank all her Milk, afterwards she was running along the fence chasing the pig and sheep
