I came across this post while researching whether or not Original Source (owned by PZ Cussons) was in fact vegan after one of my Instagram followers commented that they might not be. In my research I have gained some additional info that I wanted to share, so I've signed up for an account and here I am
I emailed PZ Cussons to ask them about their relationship to Unilever and this is the reply I received from them today:
"PZ Cussons Australia Pty Ltd is a regional operating unit of PZ Cussons PLC, a publicly listed company in the UK that has never been owned by or affiliated with Unilever in any way."
So that's good news - Unilever is definitely on the No-No list!
In terms of PZ Cussons themselves, their animal testing policy seems to be quite good:

Although this line here may indicate that they sell in Mainland China:
"If or when required by law, we will work with the authorities, through our Product Development and Regulatory Affairs teams, to find solutions to avoid the need for testing."
