Has anyone ever got a compliment from a stranger about being veg*n.
I have only heard about people getting a hard time about it but I am hoping there is a little RAOKers out there to cheer up Veg*ns!
So have you ever gotten praise, and how did it make you feel? butterfly peace dove

My doctor!! I have the best doctor in the world. When I told her I had changed my diet she praised me and said she wished she had the will power to do it also. And I live in the middle of no where sheep/cattle country so I was pretty amazed at her reaction.

Actually, one kid in my class thinks I am doing a really great thing. I am vegetarian though.

I've had this happen a couple of times, yeah. And I've noticed over time that people have gradually started responding more positively in general to me being vegan.

One of the chefs at work constantly asks me questions about veganism and is always really cheerful and accepting of it when I answer.

A few friends are proud of my strengths and ability to be so kind. They often say that I am actually doing a really great thing and I should be proud because not many people can do what I have done.

P.S Veg*n is an easier way of saying both vegetarian and vegan

a few people have done over the years.
my teacher from uni says she wished she had the willpower I had.
when I was doing animal rights protests I got a few praise from some random strangers because I was wearing an Mc death t shirt. one told me she was a vegan and it was great that I was trying to make the world a better place.

Strangers definitely give me more of a hard time about it if they know I'm vegan haha but I have gotten the occasional bit of praise and it makes my day happy
A man came into the café I was working at once asking if we had anything vegetarian on the menu, and I asked him about being vegetarian and he said he went vegetarian yesterday, I was really excited for him and told him I went vegan fairly recently too, and he said he thought it was super admirable. Turned a shit day at work into a great day!
Also at protests and things, 75% of people that walk by ignore us, with a lot of them feeling the need to throw in some little dig, or make a comment like "I had the tastiest steak ever last night"   rolleyes but there's those couple of people that say good luck, that really lifts your mood ecstatic

Vegetarian doesn't necessarily mean vegan, though...
