The Quorn products also gave me food poisoning I was sick within 30 minutes of eating them and had to miss work the next day as I had been up all night being sick.
They may look nice and taste ok but it is not worth being sick over!
ive never had quorn cause im vegan but like
there are other brands that you can always try if quorn make you sick?
like sanitariums casserole mince is amazing and its $4 a can and one can is enough for a whole lasagna!
but yeah, sanitarium and fry's brands are great
Hi, me and my extended family have been enjoying Quorn since 1985 and have enjoyed only health benefits. I have been a member of a large Veggie community for the last 30 years and have never heard of anyone having a bad experience with Quorn products. It's 100% plant ready cooked, bacteria free, you can't go wrong.
I love Quorn products! They have actually corrected my irritable bowel problems. I have read all the doubts and scare tactics to do with miro protein and have found that most of the criticism
comes from rival food producers especially the meat industry and conservative organisations like doctors who think we should only eat cruely murdered animals.
Quorn is a great way of enjoying protein and introducing firm texture into your intestines, while not hurting any other animal. Everybody should try it!
No I'm not allergic to mushrooms (the Quorn box says it's made from 'a mushroom like fungus' or something and there's no way i would have bought it if i was allergic to mushrooms!!) or penicillin and yes I've contacted Quorn but they are yet to get back to me. There are numerous individuals compiling cases from around Australia, America and the UK that hope to encourage food standard agencies to further investigate the mold used in Quorn products. The mold in Quorn is not a member of the mushroom family and nor is it closely related. I guess the point is that I wanted to warn people that they may have an adverse reaction to the product and that they should think twice before consuming it, especially when there are other healthier and less processed alternatives out there. There are people who are allergic to peanuts, milk etc and there are people who aren't but the thing is that peanut butter is just that- PEANUT butter and the labelling warns consumers that the product contains peanuts. Adequate labelling would really help on Quorn products, especially when they don't even disclose the actual ingredients i.e. calling the mold used a 'small member of the mushroom family'… which it's not. But apparently they're changing the labelling which is a good thing

First if you had an allergic reaction to a product... You shouldnt be aiming to ban it... Would you ban peanuts just because some people are allergic, no. Oh and do you know what mushrooms are they are a fungi which is a type of mould... So what is the deal with them making the protein from mould... . It's the same thing... Do you usually have an allergic reation it mushrooms or mould arroud the home or anything like that..? Also have you contacted quorn to see why this product is having this effect? If the causes are due to allergic reactions whether it be by mushrooms or another product they use in either the manufacturing or in the product its self then I suggest maybe put a petition together and ask for labeling saying that may cause allergic reaction in some cases..due to bla bla. Hope you find out what it was?

Sorry to hear of adverse reactions people are having, must be horrible! I have heard of people being allergic to the fungus that Quorn is made out of and cannot eat it.. I wonder if this is similar?
Oh just saw the post above! oops! Sometimes people can have an allergy to one type of food but not another that are from the same family/source.. .for example peanuts are a legume but people with a peanut allergy may not be allergic (or have a sensitivity/reaction) to chick peas or lentils for example.
