What I like about this story is that not only is a major newspaper doing a non-fluffy animal welfare story and not presenting it one sidedly, but that it also contains the opinions of experts within the fields of medical sciences. I really want to hear their views about the viability of alternative testing and the problems associated with animal testing. It's an issue that has always presented more of a moral quandary to me than things like eating animals which by comparison are simpler choices. It is so much more of a complex moral and scientific issue.
