Lennon Bros Circus has come to my local area and after having local councils around my region been close to making the decision to not allow animal circus on local grounds the circus has decided to create a petition to allow them to perform, ive created a petition to stop the use of animal circuses on my local town's ground i would really appreciate it if everyone could sign and share the petition to ban this out dated practice.
Thanks everyone the petition now has 80 people sign it within a few hours I just found out that Lennon bros has a few hundred signatures
Please share the petition around so we can get as many signatures as possible and I will be taking the petition to the council to present it at the next meeting
Wrote a letter to council and I urge others to do this as well as the petition, it can make a difference when you take the time to write. Will share this as well, despise animal circuses, can't believe they're still being allowed to perform, thanks for sharing and letting us know.
I received an attachment of a letter from Liam Bulley the Manager for Recreations and Buildings from Port MacQuarie Hastings Council, I wasn't able to add a copy of the letter on here, but one line that got me angry was "Council's current position is that circuses will be allowed to operate on public land for the benefit of the community." Benefit of the community??? I had a not too pleasant response to this, wasn't able to hold back and I must admit I used one explitive.
