Hi guys,
I love the new Quorn food being brought into shopping centres as it means I can now have a similar meal to my meat eating family!!
So my question is what is your favourite meat substitute food that brings you 'closer' to your meat eating friends??
i love quorn things, the new herb chicken patties or whatever are so good oh man.
i hope they bring the cold meats soon because im getting sick of traveling to newtown to get some ham.
blehhhh
If you mean mock meats, Quorn is my number one favourite. Unfortunately they contain milk and egg products, but they taste great and my ominivorous partner enjoys their products, so that means less animals on his plate!
With the help of quorn products he has cut down his meat consumption to maybe once a week, sometimes once a fortnight! That is huge!
I also like some of Fry's products, but to me they sometimes taste a little bit strange.
Does anyone else get pestered for eating these products? I always get the 'it defeats the purpose of not eating meat' 'you still crave meat' and 'shouldn't it put you off' arguments -___- which are all untrue for me.
But i love lentil burgers! Any brand that is vegan. Always bring them to family BBQs

That is really stupid. If eating mock meat is hypocritical, then it would be cannibalism to eat a cake shaped like a baby.
I haven't tried a lot of mock meats as of now, but to me falafel tastes the closest to real meat.
Lentil burgers sound good but I can't eat lentils because I'm intolerant
