Sadly, the ban on circuses with exotic animals (on council land) was overturned recently - rushed through while one supportive councillor was away. The Mayor later refused to put it to a re-vote once all councillors were back, knowing that the majority were in favour of the ban.
So now the circus is back in town and Animal Liberation Queensland, alongside our friends at Coast to Coast Animal Friends are ramping up for a second protest on 24th March.
We're hoping for a big turnout on the 24th, as well as plenty of media coverage. So please come along, and spread the word.
