Eg: I was at a restaurant not long ago and the woman swore they had vegan food catered for, ok so we booked. Turns out fish is vegan in her books. Not her fault though as I am the one with the cruelty free diet, and don't expect others to learn how to cater specifically for me. Salad was good though, even though I needed 3 of them plus a fruit platter, and it camewith cheese Haha!
For the average Jo blow I won't rant or fuss but if I'm at a restaurant or food outlet I expect that all staff will be educated in all diets and allergies. After all I could be vegan as I am allergic or for religious reasons both of which need to be taken seriously.
All preferences need be taken seriously - thus the fine saying "customer is always right" not to mention a moral stance is just as worthy of respect then that of religious... for isn't religion based on moral standards... so technically veganism could, in retrospect, be considered a form of religion... if of course avoiding the added religious discussions of creation into the mix - as that is technically the only difference really.
their pizza bases arent vegan but i do know people whove worked their in the past and the garlic bread was definitely vegan-friendly at the time.
i have a milk allergy so if the traces of milk really were that bad, my throat would have probably swelled up and i would have gotten sick so id say its most definitely safe if they havent changed it.
it was a while ago that i did order from them, though. i usually prefer making my own pizza or just ordering from dominos seeing as they have vegan bases, chips and a dessert available.
I am not sure about Pizza Hut but Dominos has just come out stating they have switched garlic bread suppliers or something, and that their garlic bread is now vegan!
