I think it's got to do with people feeling guilty.

Even a scientist 100% against veganism, would still realise that a vegan diet constributes to less animal suffering.

So, people probably just target the ONLY thing that could ever go wrong with veganism: health problems. Of course, if you eat right, it's wayyyyyyyy more healthy than, like you said, eating fast food everyday lol.

But yeh, I don't get some people haha.

it just sucks sumtimes.

im over defending myself so i dont bother l8ly.....i just ignore all the stupid comments i get.

but things like that....too much fruit and veg is bad for me.....its just so annoying.

deep down most people probably do feel guilty.....but rather than telling me im wrong they should look at themselves and figure out why they feel guilt.

but see, it's wayyyyy easier for them to say there is something wrong with you, than something wrong with themselves.

people will blame everyone else before themselves.

hopefully one day they'll finally get it.

very true.
ur right.
i hope one day this world will be a better kinder place and people will open their eyes.
once u feel the guilt u can make changes in ur life so u don't need to feel that guilt ever again.

yehhh, it's pretty cool eating/buying clothes etc knowing you haven't harmed anything in the process.

if only we could let other people know how good it feels. or at least how much better it feels (and tastes) than consuming animal products.

but yeh, kinda weird being vegan. like, people at the supermarket buy packages of meat that are DRIPPING blood. i would have thought that'd be a pretty big wake up call. i mean, it's blood! jeeeeeeeeeeez. how. can. you. eat. it?!

wats sad is people dont care, living cruelty free feels great but so many people dont care, the attitude is "animals are there for humans to eat" i hate that.

yeh, i just got a job at safeway for the school holidays. so i have to scan the dripping-in-blood packages.

someone bought veal today. i almost slapped then. almost.

that whole thing that ""animals are there for humans to eat" is so stupid though. people are so happy to eat meat, but i don't know how many would be willing to look a pig in its eyes and shoot it dead. it's pretty cowardly in my opinion to eat meat, though not be prepared to kill the animal.

oh good luck with the job.
and good on u for managing to not slap anyone.
happy

people are in denial...i hav explained my beliefs and the facts a million times but people dont want to believe it.

my mother lives in a fantasy world...in her opinion (despite me telling her the truth)
if we dont eat animals they will breed to much and there will be too many.
cows need to be milked.
taking chickens eggs isnt hurting any1 and we need eggs
the list goes on....the things people force themselves to believe is disgusting....i do believe sumtimes its out of guilt....but i really think its mostly selfishness....so many people i no dont wont give up meat bcoz they luv the taste.

haha, ty. i'll do my best not to slap anyone, but i can't make any promises wink

some people really do love the taste. and they have no problem saying that. BUT, i wonder if they'd be willing to say they're "blood thirsty." it sounds so gross, so i bet not many would.

parents and some older people can be tricky talking about veganism to, so i try not to waste my time. though it can be hard. people more our age are more likely to listen. it's why i try to leaflet areas mostly populated by students and young people. you should try! you'll probably get a better response out of them than your mum. haha.
