Well, apart from doing my bit on Animals Australia, I think it should start at home and I have tried without any success, I might add, to help seven dogs now in this tiny town I've somehow misguidedly bought a house in who have or are suffering cruelty from their owners.  I have been utterly relentless in reporting them to one place after another, rspca, police, council, other neighbours.  These abused dogs do not somehow fit their stereotype of an abused animal!!!  They do not have a backbone that is protruding, they do not have a pelvis that is protruding - that's the RSPCA's excuse.  They also said that I should see some of the cruelty cases they have seen and I would then think of these dogs as fortunate!!!  The RSPCA makes me sick!  An animal can be abused in other ways as we all know.  As I said, I have not had one win situation with these dogs.  They continue to suffer and, in fact, five of them have died at his hand because I showed interest and/or reported him for his cruelty so you could say I have gone backwards.  It still doesn't stop me from feeling their pain though, even though I am absolutely hands-bound and cannot help them.  Im putting my house on the market this year to get out and away from this despicable neighbour!

Firstly, You don't realize that by calling the RSPCA you would be sending those poor dogs to their next to certain deaths.

Secondly, have you tried contacting an animal shelter in your area?

Thirdly, Off the topic... I think that animals should never be called as possession and should always be referred to as companions... Also have you read through any laws for what you can do, because it may fall under making a citizens arrest. If it doesn't say that it acceptable then I think that we should  be petitioning for this type of citizens arrest to be covered also, because many times animals continue to suffer because people have no proof to provide to animal protectionists so I believe that it should be legal to make I citizens arrest to stop it.

If I was you the next time I see this I would make a citizens arrest, and if I got arrested for doing so... Sure I'd go to jail, but there would be animal activists all over it petitioning for freedom and the right to conduct citizens arrest for if animals are being treated wrongly happy so just a heads up if you do plan to do something crazy like this... Remember to tell people that you know to start petitions and contact all of us on this forum and any other animal rights activist organizations happy

Animal shelters unless specified as no kill have similar euthanasia standards as RSPCA, usually killing an animal if a home is not found after four weeks. The definition of arrogance is Havig an over enflated sense of self worth. I think the term you may be seeking is naive. A primarily innocent lack of information on a specific subject. Advocating for nathan winograds no kill equation, and encouraging responsible purchase and commitment to/of an animal might be a better suggestion for your advice to others. I recommend you have a research and read into Nathan's work. peace
