Hey, I just wanted to say that I completely understand your emotions, it's really upsetting what the human race does to not only our own species but others too... I often think how people can sit their and attempt to justify their actions... how they can sit their and say but I'm a good person... yet they can easily with no hesitation kill or torture another living being, 'how cruel they have become'... they've always been one of the cruellest living beings that exist... what makes them one of the cruellest is humans are aware of their actions they can choose not to do horrible things but yet they choose to do it because they simply enjoy it... which disgusts me.
Sure some animals are cruel too but the majority aren't even conscience to what they are doing, it's like an instinctive action for them they don't know any better, Think of it like they are compounds and/or elements mixed together... the compounds can't choose not to turn green, become flammable or become odorous they have been programmed that way by a higher being Mother Earth... (my theory) same as humans for that matter, when we hit our toe or bump our head we have been programmed to feel that... when kids are growing up and they hurt themselves they don't even know whether to cry or laugh, they just look at you like what just happened... it is us that makes them realise that you should be crying and that should hurt.
Same as emotions, phycology teaches that between the ages or 3-5 kids start to learn what emotion matches what circumstance and we all learn the same basic knowledge... as the old saying go's "if you put a chicken and an apple in the crib with a young child, they will always eat the apple and play with the chicken"... it is later on in life when people decide what ethics they choose to live by... no one teaches someone to become a murderer or a rapist (well some horrible people do, but ultimately when they get to a certain age they them selves choose if they wish to do it... think of it like if your parent was a drug addict and that was embedded into your head, it is ultimately your choice to either become like them or not, from a very young age right until your a teen.. you are constantly made aware of the type of people and who they are.. and you decide whether you like them or not right? well at the same time you are also shaping yourself into who you wish to be and what morals you wish to live by. (sorry for rambling on a bit)
Oh and I just wanted to say never underestimate the power of the people, remember with out the public there wouldn't even be a Government and that's why rallying and petitioning do work because it is the people expressing what they either want or don't want and demanding action, after all they are employed by our tax dollars. I'm a strong believer in the impacts of rallying and petitioning as I have seen them make remarkable changes to both human and animal rights more times then not, sure there are the occasional fights that go unnoticed but allot win... because of people like us animal lovers and activist...

Thank you for posting this up, I wasn't aware of this particular problem... oh and did you know that you can create a petition at change.org or care2.org, if you do end up creating one I personally would sign so remember to post it up hear. Thanks
