Ey girls
My friend is designing some veg / animal friendly shirts and he was wondering what would attract you girls to a shirt respecting either animals or veganism.

As in design, material,fitting ect.

(Ps. I hope this post is allowed :p)

Hey this is am awesome idea, I'll buy one!

Definitely making sure they're sweat shop free is a big point.

In terms of the product itself - maybe something more cute or subtle than than the word VEGAN in bold lettering across the chest. But still something that gets the message across. I'm thinking pretty artwork, smaller font, cute (but not tacky) cartoon animals.. tofu with a face.

I'd buy a tank top/ looser singlet over a t-shirt,  and natural cotton is always a plus. Just my personal preferences though.

Is he going to design the garments himself, or just a design to print on a plain piece of clothing?

Best wishes! happy

Personally, I prefer ones that are subtle and ones without cartoon characters. The cartoon characters are great for kids and teens but honestly in my opinion when you're in your 20s it looks childish to wear t-shirts with cartoons on them. Writing that is subtle is good rather than big bold print.

I would love this!
I think the eyes of animal would be very powerful.
"All animals eyes have the power to speak a great language."
Maybe have a dog and a pig, and have the quote: "Why do you love one..and eat another?"
Maybe have a person walking into the distance with lots of animals following. Maybe the background is dull, but the animals and person are colourful. Have it say: "Love everyone."

Sweatshop free, and something that isn't limited to the specified target audience of hippies.

I think they should be subtle, light cotton and nuetral colours. I, personally, like a baby-rib t-shirt as it always fits well and isn't boxy. Maybe a graphic novel style design? Or a vintage style pinup possibly referencing old 50s and 60s supermarket advertising but with vegan products? Quotes are also a great idea as long as they are subtle, I agree that we shouldn't be overt in our message. How about these?:

"Compassion won't cost the earth."
"Live and let live"
"Be kind to one another"
"I am not your dinner."
"Plant-based and proud."
"Plant-based goddess."
"Vegans do it better."
"Powered by plants."

If you are trying to get a message across to people that it's good to be vego, don't make the wearer look silly, animal eyes is a great idea!
