My dad thinks its funny to call me weird for being a vegetarian. He said that they belong on mars because it's not normal. He is one of those people who calls you an idiot if you refuse to agree with him about things. I was making dal by the way how is that being a weird Martian?
Lol why can't people be more tolerant of others who think differently? I know he was trying to rile me up.
Don't worry we all have those days. My ex's whole family were like that, we would go around for family dinners and stuff and they would always have to make absurd comments about what we eat (while we wouldn't even make a comment on all the death on their plates) and find that disgusting while ripping into some kind of roast like savages and say how amazing it is etc .... and yet we are the ones pushing our beliefs onto them silly people!
It happens! My dad was/is the same .. but I've noticed he's ever so slowly been cooking vegetarian meals every now and then (though he refuses that it's from my influence and that he ALWAYS cooks like that)
You'll get it no matter what you do so it's nothing to stress about! Especially family members unfortunately. I get it with food, opinions, body hair, piercings, degree choice etc etc. Veganism is just another add on the list

vegetarian is so weird... that's why several cultures are predominantly vego, foods and products are vegetarian, because " you are weird " haha there is no other possible explanation.
Take it as a compliment! If generic society is what's classed as normal I'd rather be weird any day... and mars is so much better than earth anyway Don't be insulted, that's what he wants. Laugh with him and he won't know what to do with himself.
