The Shire of Cuballing, located between the Shire of Pingelly and Town of Narrogin, about 170km south east of Perth has just released its Strategic Planning document for the next decade.
It is an abhorrent document which evidences a corrupt shire council which has hijacked community interest and replaced it with the pecuniary interests of a club.
This 'Club' is comprised of Factory Farmers (2) and their families, hangers on, and associated group of vested interests.
They have determined that future of the Cuballing Shire is in "Intensive Agriculture" and Equestrian activities.
What a coincidence that this falls into the pecuniary interests of the 'club' that has by diabolical and misleading acts come to call itself representative of the community.
The truth is the real community can not coordinate a response due in part to the control of the local media by the afore mentioned club.
The club is comprised of the co-opting money powers of the Shire who also control the Shires one small local paper.
We need activists on the ground here now.
Ideally a show of resistance from concerned urban folk who will travel to
Auschwitz Cuballing and protest existing factory farming, and the hijacking of long term community interest by a vested interest group that gets its money from cruel and inhumane exploitation of animals.
The presence of a co-ordinated group protesting for animal rights and against factory farming will provide a rallying point for the rest of the community who are afraid to stand up and be counted in this hostile environment.
