I am 26 years old and live on the Central Coast of NSW.
I am a qualified Veterinary Nurse and have volunteered with various wildlife associations.
For as long as I can remember I have always loved animals and done everything I can to help them.
I have 3 dogs, 1 cat, 3 budgies, 14 guinea pigs and a large amount of fish in 2 large ponds in the back yard. What can I say, strays come into work and need a home and I know I can give them a really good caring home.
I have worked with flying foxes, that is the best feeling in the world, they are the most georgous creatures on the planet.
Currently I do eat meat, not read meat, but I do eat chicken. Due to a medical condition I am not allowed to give up meat fully. I instead have a diet rich of fish, and on a very rare occasion I have chicken, only when someone else makes it. Otherwise I try to limit my meat intake. If I didn't have this medical condition I would be full vegan and I am in absolute awe of all the vegans out there in the world. I do believe it is the best thing anyone can do.
My aim is to get more and more involved in helping animals, and once I have finished my university course I am planning to travel to Borneo to spend 5 weeks volunteering with the orangutans.
I find animals to be the most passionate, caring and loveable creatures, all they want to do is give love and receive love, what could be more rewarding than that.
