I'm an animal lover first and last. I was a member of Animal Liberation and World Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (WSPC) until finances put a stop to that for me.  I have two aged ponies, one is an Australian Stud Book Pony (ASBP) named Nerinda Ragtime (Larry) who has been with me since he was two; he's now thirty-one. The other pony is a Palouse Pony, Pedro, who was destined for the knackery and is good company for Larry. I bought two acres near Laidley because there are two stables, one outdoor shelter, a dam, a feed room and a lovely, little house on them. Abbey is the name of the miniature dachshund who lives here too, and two cats came with the place.  I am a retired librarian who has had five trips to Africa, two to India and one to Thailand, all to see, photograph and paint pictures of wildlife.  I also worked for the RSPCA for ten years as a volunteer sorting and arranging book donations for sale in the thrift shops.
